the shortlist for the second edition of the Premio Vallombrosa - Gregor von Rezzori,
supported by the Provincia di Firenze awarded annually for the best new work of international fiction published in Italy:

16th of May, 3.30pm Press conference - Hotel de la Ville.
5.30 pm L’Insituto Italiano di Scienze Umane – SUM will host a public conversation between the shortlisted writers and the Fellows of Santa Maddalena in the Palazzo Strozzi.
17th of May, 5.30 pm, The Provincia di Firenze
which is sponsoring the prize, will host a Lectio magistralis by John Banville in the Luca Giordano room at Palazzo Medici-Riccardi.
18th of May, 11 am The Prize will be awarded at a ceremony at the Abbazia di Vallombrosa.
The winner will receive €15,000 and a Fellowship at the Santa Maddalena Foundation, the writers' retreat, in the Valdarno near Florence,
established by Beatrice Monti della Corte in her house, in memory of her husband, the writer Gregor von Rezzori.
